Anyhow, I did get my cups out in re-usable condition. I'm thinking I used a punch and drove the seal out with the cup. Seals were un-re-usable though.
I thought it was a pretty poor design to put the seal in under the cup. Plus, my rear/low cup was rust pitted, what with the drain plug higher than the back end.
If I have to do it again, I'll mill out the lip so I can get to the seal from both sides.
