Sometimes an inch is the worst. A couple weeks ago I drove up 95 with maybe an inch of snow on the road, and between Moscow and Plummer there was 1 car, 2 SUVs and a pickup off the road, and one of the SUVs had rolled. I'm sure they thought "4WD" means "can't slip". The first snow's always the worst. Of course some of that is because it's still warm enough to be slippery. The last couple days the temps have been between zero and ten, which means even glare ice isn't slippery. No snow in town yet, so the ground is freezing hard and deep.
