This is a WWII 1942 Dodge WC-53 ¾ Ton 4x4 Power Wagon Carryall. These trucks were built for one year in limited quantity, just over 8000, and not many still exist, let alone are they this complete, clean and drivable. This Carryall starts, drives, steers and stops better than just about any Power Wagon out there.

Restoration includes:

* Body and frame sandblasted and repainted
* 230 cubic inch Engine original and in good running condition.
* Recent Tune up, new plugs/wires/rotor/valve covers, valves adjusted
* Head resurfaced and gasket replaced.
* Carburetor and air cleaner assembly Rebuilt
* Choke and Throttle linkages rebuilt
* Replaced Oil filter assembly and lines
* Re-Cored Radiator, new hoses and waterpump
* Gas tank cleaned and coated
* Fenders undercoated and have new welting
* Brakes and Wheel cylinders rebuilt/replaced
* New Wiring Harness
* 12 volt conversion with alternator and new battery
* Turn Signals with 4-way flashers added for safety.
* Rear Brake/Turn Signals (ex-Gamma Goat)
* All Window Regulators in working order
* Rebuilt Windshield Frame
* New Glass and seals all around
* New weather stripping
* 5 Combat Wheels (powder coated)
* 5 STA Superlug 9.00 –16 Tires
* MU-2 winch and PTO added
* New spool of winch cable and canvas cover
* Ambulance Heater
* Original Instruments w/ dash lights, all data plates
* Teak Flooring
* Full set of newly reupholstered seats (all three rows)
* New custom exhaust
* 5:83 to 4:88 gear conversion (complete rebuild – see below)
* Rebuilt transfer case and new u-joints
* Suspension/Steering/Springs/Shocks serviced/rebuilt as needed
* Many other parts repaired, replaced

* $4,000 worth of spare parts included (Original, NOS, and replacement):
* Complete original front and rear 5:83 differentials, axles, bearings, etc..
* Rear axle housing
* Lock out hubs
* multiple Drive Shafts
* U-joints and hardware
* 1 Combat Wheel w/ locking rim (for a total of six)
* Fan shroud and firewall insulation
* Headliner retaining strips
* Exhaust that was removed
* Waterpump/carburetor/air cleaner/oil filter assembly that were removed
* Rebuilt wheel cylinder
* Rear blackout lights
* Switches, wires, oil filters
* Door windlace and clips/tacks
* 6 volt system components

What is still needed for completion:

* Sun visor
* Headliner (retaining strips included)
* Minor wiring (horn, heater, windshield wipers)
* Front driver seat mount (current mount temporary, shifted back for more leg room)
* Door windlace install (all parts included)

There are many hard to find parts still on this truck, including near perfect tail gate halves and hinges and even the original interior dome light. The body of the truck is nice and straight – rust free. The outside roof cover is canvas, with wood underlay. The rear wood floor has been redone with teak - all hardware is installed. Chassis has all been cleaned and painted. Gauges in the dash all work and are original type and all data plates in place. The spare tire has been mounted on the right side, so both doors are usable - this was as done with US Navy models of this truck. Added MU-2 winch, PTO and split bumper.

The 5:83 gear ratio is changed to 4:88 for better road driving and less wear on the drive train. This included not just ring and pinion swap but professional replacement of complete front and rear 4:88 differentials, rear axle housing, front and rear axles, seals, bearings, u-joints and all related parts. The result is at least 20% quieter, faster, smoother driving.

Previously registered as historic vehicle, currently registered with 1942 California black plates. It is located in San Francisco and can be shown anytime, serious inquiries only. You will not find a vehicle like this, it turns heads everywhere. Please feel free to email with any questions. A valid and clear California vehicle title and up-to-date registration will be included. I also have a copy of the build sheet with it. Asking $27,500.
