The thought of a 6BT in a Flat Fender just doesn't interest me one Iota...& I'm probably amongst the biggest 6BT fans on the planet & yes, I've seen trucks where it's been done. They're too big for a PW...simple.
There's just no possible way to fit one & still leave the truck usable without butchering the firewall unless you stretch the front fenders, hood & frame & basically ruin the classic look of the truck.
I just don't understand the logic why a guy'd want to ruin a good truck when a 4BT is capable of 300HP & 600lbs of torque without breaking a sweat & fits in without any trouble?
Even in stock form, a 4BT has way more power than you need out of one of our trucks.
Set up properly, you could pull a fifth wheel at 55 in a FFPW...I'm not sure about you guys but that's faster than I'd care to go in one of these jalopy's with a big load like that...disc brakes or not.
