One thing I read about and used when I did when I rebuilt mine, was to completely disassemble everything including the rollers. If the rollers have a burr, gently grind it off and polish the burr with emery cloth. Some pitting is o.k., as you cannot find replacement rollers (I tried and the steel hardness is not right). When putting it all back together, use a light coat of synthetic grease, which is superior and also makes it easier to move the knob, etc.
