The Daytona rod run is coming up on friday and Im going to go just like the last 5 years.I dont drive my 57 power wagon much anymore and I can say the same for my 42 wc-56 command car but I do like driving it more than the wagon. I am thinking maybe I would put a for sale sign on it or trade for something else that might catch my eye.I think most of you seen pictures of my truck, it was on the cover of hemmings a few years back and also made the truck calender they put out also. I did a body off resto and finished it in 2003.I did the normal new seals ,brake lines, shoes, wheel cylinders, flush the fuel tank, plugs ,wires,I never rebuilt the motor because it runs great and does not smoke and the same goes for tranny and case, new Michelins before you could buy surplus.the body was in great shape with the average dents and rust which was knocked out and or welded new metal in its place.new mar k wood and stainless rails that also was in their catalog with a picture has turn signals, duel mirrors, front vent windows, ash tray, factory heater which I also went thru and restored like new,all gauges work and it runs great. Yellow and Black with all matching wheel and winch codes. I dont want to over price it and I dont want to under price it.I have put around 3500 miles on it since I re did it without one problem the truck looks very nice but I have never treated it as as a trailer queen.I have drove 60 miles each way for a show. I have been reading this forum since #57 and put some input in from time to time but not a regular like most, I would like to hear what you think about prices, I dont have a site for photos but if you email me I could send some to you. I also kept a photo log from before I started to after. I have collected around thirty trophy's with this truck and some cash awards.I know this is not the best time to sell a truck as the economy permits less people to make hobby purchases so it might not sell at all.
I would appreciate any positive replies thanks and sorry for the long post.
