I am surprised the guy that installed the 251 didn't torch about half the motor mount off, since he wasn't shy about burning holes in the frame all over the place for everything else. I'd have to take a pretty big bite out of it to do much good. Now that the weather is better, I'm going to measure a lot of things on the M43 versus the M37 and try to figure out how putting in a motor that's 2" longer has cost me 4" in clearance with the radiator. Something is not adding up here. Given the fronts of the radiators are the same distance back of the grills, either the engine is not only longer but has been moved forward, or the radiator is different somehow. I could also cut about 1/2" off of the lower radiator elbow, which seems to be plenty long enough, but I hate to start carving on a good radiator. On this truck, I'd rather hack up the frame.
