I'll take your word for that. I imagine an 1872 Winchester would be a valuable gun today even if you can't just pick up a box of .44/40 shells at Wal*Mart. Too bad he split the barrel open firing it with mud in it and his dad ended up using it for rebar when they built the new root cellar. Or maybe not. Maybe it's in some rich guy's collection somewhere and the owner has no idea it was in this old picture.

I ate some cougar once and it tasted a lot like meat.
