Dan,
The rear axle of the 6x6 has a centered differential with a drive shaft that comes off the emergency brake yoke of the transfer case. The middle axle has the offset differential with the drive shaft coming from the right of the transfer case. I think the forward crossmember of the swivel mechanism blocks access to the emegency brake yoke. I can send you some picures.
