,,we all have little pet peeves or things that tend to get under or skin. I am going to tell you one of mine.

When someone lists a truck for sale in the "Power Wagon Photo Classifieds" is it really "our" place to pick it apart?? If we have no interest in owning the truck in the first place?? What a welcome to the group gift.

"incorrect wheels and tires, incorrect side mirrors, non-original motor(not even correct), incorrect paint scheme, incorrect paint clors, incorrect upholstery, door panels and head liner, carpet is wrong(floor mat), incorrect flatbed setup, firewall blacked out/ inner fenders incorrect(should be gloss black)"

I mean does it really matter what color they painted it or if the running boards are painted the correct color or not?? Does it matter if they used zip ties on the wire harness, instead of wrapped wires??

"It is a very nice Power Giant. However, for that price, I wold think it should be a true and accurate restoration, which it is not. Incorrect interior paint colors, wrong upholstry, wrong gauges, and, it should not have carpet. Nice REBUILD, but not a true RESTORATION."

When you REBUILD or RESTORED, (or whatever you want to call it??) your power giant, did you paint it the "orginal" color that it left the factory with? Or did you use the "Correct" upholstry, did your truck have the "Correct" engine and trans.?? Did it have the "correct" steering column?? Did your power giant when you REBUILD, or RESTORED it, did it have the "correct" floor mat?

In the overall grand scheme of things in life does any of it really matter or not? Why do some of us think it is OK to pick someone truck apart, becasue they painted it the wrong color, or other small details?? Does it matter what the the price tag is or what they are "ASKING" for a truck to those of us who are not going to buy it anyways??

A person can ask anything that they want for something,, be it a truck or a part. It is whole different thing if they can sell it for what they are asking if "we" as a group think that it is to high or not, Yes that might be our opinion that the listed price is to high, but only time will tell.

I realize it is a free country and we can voice our opinion about whatever we please, but is it really our place to pick someones truck apart, becase of some small details that might or might not be "CORRECT"??

I know I can look thru the Photo Classifieds and probably find something wrong with just every truck there, (from the 2-3 pictures of the truck) or can go to one of any of the rallys, and find something worng with just about any truck there. But do I feel that it is my place or it is my right to voice my opinion about the flaws?? NO.

Now if someone ask's me about their truck, (our us as a group) what do you think of this or that and the way I did it,, I might tell them my opinion only because they asked. But at the same time I am not going to "RIP" them a new one becasue they painted the running boards the wrong shade of black or they used base coat clear on them intead of how they might have been painted when the truck left the factory.

Just look thru the Photo Classifieds, is the windlace on the cowl supposed to be held on with pop rivets? probably not, are there supposed to be beads of weld on the rear stake pockets of a power wagon that has just been painted, probably not, but am I going to sit here and tell the seller that they did this wrong or that wrong on "their" truck when they listed it for sale?? No I think I can find better things to do with my time.

I could go outside righ now and paint one of my power giants, PINK and list it for sale on Monday (when the paint drys) in the Photo Classifieds for $50,000.00 would it seel for that? I would hope not. But that is my right to do so if I please.

Matt
