The guy died a few years ago, of agent orange most likely. His woman still had the place the last I knew. I bought his steam engine from her. At that time the garage was stacked with very well organized old truck parts (nothing Dodge that I could see) and there were several of those Fords and related equipment around the place. She was still driving one of them, a '48 as I recall. They lived way back up in the hills where nobody would see any of this stuff from the county road. She didn't seem to be in any hurry to get rid of any of it, but wasn't attached to keeping it either. If I ever ran into a good guy who liked '40s and early '50s Ford trucks and might want to buy the whole lot, I was going to call her and see if she'd be interested, but I haven't met such a guy yet. It would be a nice find for the right person, and she could really use the money. That was some years ago and I don't know what's become of the collection since then.
