Put the bulb in boiling water, it should read 212°- at sea level. It's a constant, but think about higher elevations? A no-pressure system will boil at lower temps, hmmm, check a recipe book for variations?

There is a couple things to bend, one is a wire link, and the other is ummm.... geez, it's been three years, you can't expect everything from a guy who can't remember what he had for breakfast!The first thing that goes is your memory, then it's your umm... er,,um...

Anyways, bending the wire to get it to read right at 212 from the driver's position, I thought that was critical. Adjusting something else might make it more better down low, but I think therein lies frustration... low gets good, high goes floooey...
