My Neon gets 38 mpg on highway and over 30 combined so why buy a japanese car for 3 times the money? I see more smoking hondas on the road than any other brand. over rated and over priced. they were more reliable in the mid 70s to late 80s but now people are basically buying maybe a little better interior in the asian cars. they can do that because they use cheap labor to make parts in asia to offset margins. 2002 civic and corolla have more recalls than my 02 neon. Neon engine made in MI, tranny in NY, car in IL.
