Had the same problem with my FFPW. I was loosing a lot of oil at 40 mph and thought I would investigate, glad I did. 5 pistons with broken compression rings and holes in the piston head land on two pistons. All this allowed too much crankcase pressure. Truck ran fine on all cylinders, plenty of power, no smoke. I pulled the head and found two holes on the side of number 5 piston. Some of the piston pins had almost pushed the retaining clip through the side of the piston. You may want to do the same. It's amazing the condition these engines get into, yet still run.
