if you believe that a short shaft and a long shaft in a differential should be of any concern you etter take a look under 4 million mack trucks a few million euclids and a few million other things that use different lenght shafts > all things being equal diameter, load torque ect make NO DIFFERENCE ON strength > i the yard at work i have seen driver just dump the clutch to get out of driving a certain rig > on the heavy snow polws the right hand passenger side shaft always broke > WHY the torqure of the ENGINE transmits to that side > the right side most often in near or on the should where traction is better yes better from gravel dust and surface s be less polished from traffic coincedence (sp) 50 years of diff repair and science tells me so > Pilot error is the biggest cause of shaft break took a failure anaylisis course at eaton and rockwell so no you know ~ Copey
