I know this does not answer your question, or even help you much, but just FYI.

The original cylinders were marked right on the outside of the casting "L" or "R", for mounting on left or right side of the truck. Properly placed with the L or R on the correct side of the truck would position the large piston to the non self energizing rear brake shoe.

I would not be at all suprised if the new parts reproduced in China are lacking the markings.
