Another chapter in my search for the "Elusive Power Wagon." I took the wife to Asheville, NC for her birthday this weekend. Where I visited my favorite military surplus store to get a set of WW2 pioneer tools. He told me of a junk yard that had a PW. Once again it was like being in the movie Deliverance. This was isolated man... The owner looked like a retired biker (no cut intended) and said "Yea I got one. Turn left at the mustang on top of the pick up then when you get to the creek follow it (walk in it) till you get to the wrecked white pick up and crawl over the Buick and you will find it covered with vines." I must have looked over 25 acres of old trucks and still couldn't find it. I did find one 47 minus the front axle, rims, & tires. No glass, rubber, or interior he had forgotten about (too far gone). Finally, without me even being able to see the good PW he decided he did not really want to sell it cause he never lost in a truck pull with it. SIGH.... Still considering others so far away I will have to fly out and trailer back. Anyone know a good guy in Texas who could truck a PW to Alabama for a reasonable price??? (800) 999-6678 box 4749 (voice mail)....Thanks Al
