Trailering - just verifying

I'm about to pick up my '65 WM300 on Sat. I have a 3ton 16' landscaping trailer. The truck is stock and I measured the trailer and it should fit. Am I correct? There is no winch and the bed will be empty. My problem (I think) is getting the truck on the trailer. I don't think the trailer gate will be ok...any ideas? Guy (NH)
