Someone tell me please, are the M-37 & M43 ambulence the same basic vehicle with diff. bodies? *** Yes ***

Are the chassis and drivetrain the same with most all parts interchangable? *** Only the rear drive shaft, exhaust and cab & rear wiring harnesses are different ***

If you can put an M37 together for $1000, great! A lot is going to depend on the condition of your engine. Some tips - be sure the transmission, transfer case and axles have fluid in them before you drive it. Expect to replace some seals. And expect to have to do a brake job.

If you scrap out the M43, be sure and save all the good sheetmetal, battery box, dash parts, especially grab the shock (they are spendy to replace), windshield frames, and anything else that unbolts. If the wiring harness is still flexible, salvage it too. If the fuel tank is salvagable save it too. You may not need these parts, but they come in real handy for barter.

Post some pics of your truck before and after.
