I think you may have just hit the jack pot. does the steel have a blueish or greenish flame or smoke when it's hot and burning? if so it may be the alloy you mentioned and if it is it's time for a two-part epoxy sealing coat inside. does the smoke leave a odd metalic taste in your mouth? if so it is not good(toxic) if not it could be one of the inconel alloys. (I've seen very good welders kick things, cuss, and throw fits trying to weld this stuff) inconel is also bad for you in smoke form, so please be careful with this stuff. Dave.
