...I once made a press and was instructed to use the 7013 where there was a higher strength required. If I re-call since it was a long time ago, the 7013 was a little more difficult to get a good bead. The 6013 rods were much easier. Next, I suggest a MIG welder. Since I got my MIG a few years ago, I never use the stick welder anymore even though I just bought a Lincoln 250GXT. Keep us informed on how your doing with the various welding rods.
