The first thing I would check is the plug wires, then plugs. I found from a similar experience when the resistance in the plugs got high it caused leakage between the plug leads where they crossed each other between the distributor cap and the plugs. Individually everything looked OK and I did all the same stuff you did, it wasn't until I looked under the hood in the dark that I could see the glow of the spark leakage and I found that by accident. Lesson learned - now I check under the hood at night as part of my servicing routine.
