It depends where you live and how much you use it. If you use it only a couple times a month i wouldn't worry about the hydraulic oil used. If it is a job site truck with heavy usage I would stick with a hydraulic oil of known viscosity, maybe 32 or 68 wt, good shear stability, pour point, and anti-foaming.
The wrong viscosity oil that gets hot is not going to lift very well.
