I used 3/16 rod, $1.60 for ten feet at the steel supply yard.

It would have been a good idea to make brackets with multiple holes, to get the bow in the spot for the best tension.

And, the back-est section needs to be cut and sewn to a curve, mine is all wrinkly. Maybe other trucks don't have that back section at a 45° angle? Anyways, I'll leave the wrinkles for now, the whole thing would need to get pulled out to fix it, and it won't be any harder to dot it later than now.

I used yellow wheather strip cement around the edges, it seems to have an appropriate working time, yet still sticks well enough to keep it in place. Then can be peeled up an re-positioned. It all needs to be finagled with multiple times.

That's what I've learnt, so far...
