Fast? I've had the window frames for 7 weeks. I had thought it would take about 2 weeks.... and I've still got to buy more vinyl, line the back of the cab, re-upholster the seat, install the windows, wash the truck, rub out the paint ( I did get a good texture match to the rest of my paint job - right in my own back yard! Maybe next time I won't paint so close to the stucco, too much inspiration?)

But I did drive it today- 40 feet! Backed it under the bed and re-installed
it, then 20 feet back forward. It's nicer just to get in and out of for me!

I think I'm going to be glad I did it, though I will add a layer of softer
foam to the seat, just a bit more cushioney-er. And make it look a bit more like the over-stuffed OE seat.

Dan H, No, didn't move the whole seat base back. My floor was pretty rotted, even with the repairs I did a couple years ago when I did the restoration. So by the time I sawed it in half, added risers for the body mounts, then a new layer of 12ga floor, the back half of the seat riser was gone. I replaced the back half with a 12ga divider, the correct height for the new seat. Then moved the front half back to suit. The cab is longer by 8", front of seat riser moved back only 5". What with the seat back folding forwards, plus mounting the front of the seat on hinges, there is plenty of access to the ample space to haul groceries behind the seat. I've already lined it with commercial carpeting in mottled gray, trunk carpet?

Anybody here ever install corner windows on a Pilot House?? I know the trick of using cord to 'zip' the rubber, but rubber into frame first, or rubber onto glass then into the frame? Robert's rubber looks good, vulcanized ends rather than Steele's bulk coil stuff.
