I have been thinking about your Xmember project and think you should take a break and look at a big truck Xmember.
Have a steel shop break up the channel and bolt the ends on with the pattern to match you existing holes I don't think you need the wild offset in the Xmember for driveline clearance just for the rear PTO shaft if you have that.
The WC series Dodges had more of a straight Xmember. What ever you do have fun.
