What I do is I blast the parts in the blast cabinet, and immediately treat them with a metal treatment solution called Picklex-20. This will "buy me time" as it prevents flash rust, and thus I can assemble a bunch of small parts over time to paint as a group. The Preval spray tool Paul mentions is a great idea, much less hassle then setting up the normal spray gun for a small job.
Note about Picklex, it does a good job preventing flash rust, but don't let the parts get wet, keep them in a dry place.
