One of the three hardest days of work in my life...
One was stacking hay, carrying 11 tons 40 feet, and lifting it up 5.
Another day was running a tar kettle and hoisting the buckets to the roof with a ladder/pulley gismo.
And the other was the day I changed tires on seven split rims. One so old I broke the tire off with a hammer. That was the easiest one, the others were a wrestling match on a fifty year old gravel covered mat.
Why do all those days of bust ass labor come up on the hottest days of the years? Yuh, hottest days of the last 35 years. [/ through the snow, uphill... both ways...]
