I lived and worked in the UK (Kent) over many years and always enjoyed it. You will be there for the next War and Peace show (summer) near Tonbridge....I really recommend that, a huge show with lots of WWII military equipment. Shrewsbury is a ways away, but the War and Peace show is definitely worth the trip.
I never saw a PW over there but they do have some other interesting vehicles like Suggas which are very rare in the US.
As for the Defender, oh yeah, the perfect vehicle for the county.
And of course, you can't beat the real ale.
