It's not worth the effort, in my opinion to make it yoruself. I've never made my own biodiesel. I have collected, filtered, and burned straight vegetable oil. It worked, but it's not worth the labor unless you just really love doing it.
My organization's goal to is to support independent, commercial-scale production that meets full ASTM specifications. Then it is as easy a filling your tank.
