the body shop that just did the body and paint work on my D300 went ahead and powder coated the hood, rear fenders, doors, front panel, tail gate. I was concerned about they way paint over that would look and whether the paint will stay on. I did not ask him to do it. they doors look fine except for the parts where they did no fix the dings ;/( The idea has grown on me now I know the inside of the doors will not rust thru to the outside anymore. The were blasted well before powder coating. some people I saw were powder coating whole car bodies now! (paint shop right next to powder coaters).
