Diesels were not available in Power Wagons. I have done a few conversions and find the Cummins 4B series to work out well. Along with the diesel conversion, you will want/need to do up grades on such areas as suspension, transmission, steering and brakes. I used to suggest $8500.00 as a budget number for a conversion. With prices on steel and parts climbing out of sight, I now suggest $10,000 as a budget figure. This budget figure is considering you can do all your own fabrication. Nothing is available off shelf, everything has to be fabricated. May I suggest for starters, go to the top of the forum page, click on Phils Archives. Then click on search. Search on Cummins and 4BT. You will find more information than you can read in a few evenings. Many of your questions will be answered there. Then come back here with specific questions and we will be glad to help. If you decide to embark on this costly venture, I can and will help you. The picture is my Trucks with Cummins 4B series engines. I presently have a W300 in build with a Cummins.

This will give you a idea on what is involved in a conversion.
