My 1970 Bumblebee FFPW has the hinges welded tot he windshield frame and bolts for the hinges on the body side. I used a windshield from from ( I was told it came off a 55 FFPW) on my Carryall. The hinges on that frame bolted on the windshield frame and also body.

The seam across the roof is a complicated fold of the rear roof section and the front section. Very hard to describe the joint with out seeing it. Both front and rear are folded straight up, then a series of folds close it and finally folds into the seam joint we see. On the trucks I have repaired with seam rust, I found no evidence of any caulking or primer or paint. I have repaired the seam, as shown on My Carryall Album in Image Event. Afte the repair, the seam is covered with a skim coat of filler and painted. You then no longer see a seam. This repair has worked well for me on 4 roof seam repairs. The link to the carryall album is; http://imageevent.com/moosecreekmaple/1943dodgecarryall

Scan down the album and you will find a series of pictures on the repair. Email me if you have any questions.

Paul
