No data, but experience has shown stainless weaker, esp. wood screws. From Loos web site:Galvanized: Zinc coated carbon steel offers some corrosion resistance. It remains ductile over long periods of working. Usually higher break strengths than stainless steels. Tin over Zinc coated carbon steel is also available. I guess the answer is to look at the breaking strength of any wire rope before putting it in use.
