I got the head off this morning. No real problems. From the looks of the gasket, I could see that there was some communication between cylinders. The head is in very good shape as is the block. non of the valves or valve seats appear burned or pitted. I checked the torque on the head bolts with a torque wrench and many were loose which was probably the problem all along. I just took the head to the shop to get it surfaced. I'll let you kow how it goes getting it back together. Robert N.
