The non riveted ones are actually easier to modify. Just take them to a welder that has an Air Arc & they'll cut the weld out.
I gouged mine off & they were much easier than the rivets. The rivet holes all show once you change the offset. I ended up welding all the rivet holes on 2 of mine & then grinding.
That's my $.02 for you.
