I've never seen a 4BT that has the vacuum pump/PS pump...not sure why. They usually have a vacuum pump mounted to the top of the engine & then plumbed in with oil lines.
I don't see any reason the First Gen setup wouldn't fit...must have been size constraints with the installation in those vans since virtually every automotive 4BT...that's where they've all come from. I think all the GM conversions had the Hydroboost setup....only the Fords used the vacuum boost.
