Since I am using the hydroboost on my Old Iron, Match up bolt patterns of a hydroboost are non existent as hydroboost was not even invented yet. My goal was to find a 1 Ton system, available off shelf, reasonable price and with a 1 & 5/16" bore. With 4 wheel disk brakes, you need the 1&5/16" bore MC. The GM/Chev filled those needs exactly, I did not look further. You will find that many gydroboost units look identical, yet have different power ratings. Hydroboost does not detract/rob any power from your Power Steering, its operation is transparent.

You will find Cummins Vacuum Pumps that will mount on block/timing case cover and then the PS pumps mounts on the vacuum pump. Cummins is proud of these Vacuum pumps and prices them as such. Buy one off ebay, does it work or are you tossing money away ? This makes a very long unit. You also need to run a extra vacuum tank with check valves to give power assist for a stop if the vacuum system fails. Hydroboost have a small nitrogen accumulator that is designed for 3 stops.

Since you already have PS, the hydroboost system is current technology on trucks, its the cheapest way to go. Also, Hydroboost units can be mounted at any clock angle to better fit in the engine compartment (an adapter Hydroboost/MC may be required) depending on clock angle you mount the hydroboost at.
