Using 3" drywall screws in pairs straddling the old harness, screw the old harness down in a big spiral. The dash cluster in a foot or so from one end, leave room for the next ring of the spiral to go by. Maybe some finish nails through some eyelets. Lay new wires on top of the old, threading them between the pairs of drywall screws. Add whatever you think you may need, turn signals, back up lights, etc.

When you are all done, remove the screws, and set the particle board and the screws aside for some other use- like building a disposable flat bed for temporary use while finishing up the good bed. I won't say anything about getting it weighed that way to save on weight fees.

I do believe that somebody else sells a synthetic wrapped wire. Looks antique.Has anybody mentioned Rhode Island Wiring?

I used modern vinyl, as I assume WM300s did?

I mounted two six-fuse blocks from the parts store. Get the blocks that use screws so you can make a long brass strip as a jumper. Use one block as a 'always hot' , the other for ignition hot. Mount them on an oversized aluminum plate. Room to stamp in the legend, and screw on a headlight socket to hold the blinker.
