Its a fuel problem no doubt in my mind check for a vacun leak at the intake or the carb base gasket or a cracked intake But you dont say if it has electronic ignition or not if it has points and the gap is closed basic timing will be off and cause poor vacum imatating a fuel problem and cause a stalling under load i would check that area first if points or electonic is in order get on the fuel system ~ Copey
