Did they offer you the third truck for what you thought it was worth or were they trying to sell it to you for what their shill had bid on it?
As for the ebay truck, assuming the sale really happened, I guess a guy can still get lucky sometimes. It's true that the two bidders at the end had very few feedbacks, but somebody with 270 feedbacks had it up to $18,500, which is nothing to sneeze at. I'm sure it's a real nice truck, and if it had to it could get down and pull better than any new pickup for $25,000, but I agree that's still a premium price.
