We would use the factory hi-po cams. That way we knew just what we were getting. I don't remember any Mopar numbers, but the Ford FE block was awesome with the C60Z-6250BB Cobra Jet cam. My F-250 pegged the dyno at 2300rpms.

Many amateurs would screw up cam choice if they didn't build the rest of the car to suit. No sense putting a 9,000 rpm cam in without a huge open intake, headers, powerful valve springs, and 4.56 rear end gears.

Torque cams were OK, but the Torker II went tooo far. It had the power band of the flat head 230- gained a few hundred rpms down low, but lost gobs of power/thousands of rpms up high.

Just for comparison, the stock 230 has 5° negative duration.
