I have never noticed a Power-Wagon wheel that was stamped anything other than Budd. Being that your '48 has Goodyear wheels, that might just fit in with what we are learning about other trucks from 1948 with oddball 2-piece lock rings. Maybe Dodge had to source wheels and/or lock rings from other companies, in addition to Budd, during 1948. Was there a fire or a strike at the Budd plant during that time?

I have owned only one '48 truck, and it had the Ford AA 20" wheels. They were a nice compromise. With the 8.25x20 tires, overall gearing was halfway between the extremes of running 9.00x16 tires with 5.83:1 and 4.89:1 gearing.
