I like the Garwood & Dodge boats...cool old rigs but in a totally different league.
I'm a woodworker by trade & when I see a Garwood or Hackercraft...I could duplicate one of these boats myself. The Riva takes it to a totally different level of craftsmanship.
It's not so much the design...it's the finish of their boats from the design to every last detail right down to vents, lights & look at the upholstery in that thing.
I think you're a 40's boat man & so if there was such thing as a 40's Riva...I think you'd see it my way :)
Comparing a Garwood to a Riva is like comparing a Pontiac Strato Cheif to a Mercedes Gullwing :)
Myself....hook that thing up to the W500 & I'll tow her around with pride :)
