The 9.00x 16 Micehelins make it ride nice.
Th headers and 2bbl Carter give it reasonable power.
Lifting the cab 1/2" made it quiet.
Phasing the U-joints and shimming the t/c made it smooooth.
Power steering made it reasonable around town.

But Dam, I Don't FIT!

At 6'3" and 1/7th of a ton, back and neck probs, I need five or six more inches in length of cab. I'll move the bed back by drilling new holes for the middle bolts, moving the front brackets, and making up small frame extensions for the rear. Or maybe drill some more holes in the bed is easier?

So why am I sharing this? I'll need some help getting some pieces:

1)One crumpled or rusted section of running board to get two 6" extensions from. Probably both ends from rusted out one?

2) I hope somebody is scrapping a 5-window Pilot House. I'll want the corner windows sawed out with about 2-3" of steel all around. Pay reasonable parts/labor.

Whaddya think? Anybody got both a FFPW and a Pilot House, to compare the radius?

Other makes of 5-window? Didn't Chevy? Ford Econoline?

I suspect that you boys with Carryalls and modern seats have your seats where I want mine. Do you have a harder time seeing at right angles, but seeing through the side windows is a good trade off? Hence the idea for the 5th windows. Plus RAD styling.
