That's an option I hadn't considered. I don't think the ends are struturally compromised but they are not full thickness any more either.
Yes I have a Hobart 187 that can handle that. Probably need some end pieces for the bolt locations too.
I've seen the rivet removal method on your web site (love that site by the way), though the Driver's side is bolted already.
Thanks for the suggestion, I might just go that route.
