I have had very poor luck with Powder Coat exposed to the elements. My Buckstop Bumpers (front and rear) have peeled and are rusting, the same wiht the cross bed tool box. The cross bed tool boxes on my Power Wagon and M37 are showing peeling. The Northeast Weather does not appear to work well with Powder Coat. Many have said its due to improper prep. Well, maybe true, but then many different companies are not properly prepping before powder coating the stuff I have bought. I plan to have the Buckstop Bumpers blasted to remove the Powder Coat and then will prime with epoxy and shoot a hardened top coat. There is a large commercial powder coater in my area. I asked him about re-coating my Buckstop Bumpers. He said he would never guarantee any Powder Coat for that application.

I think Powder Coat on inside items may work well. I had a GPS Case Powder Coated a few years ago. It still looks like new.

I have my running boards shot with Line-X in the walk area. Its non skid, never will wear off. My M37 running boards were shot with Rhino Coat, I am not happy with it. No where near the non skid quality of Line-X.
