Last fall I posted here about how my M37's transmission was locked up. I'd backed it into its parking spot and later when I went to move it, the transmission appeared to be locked up. Even with the transfer case in neutral, it would kill the engine whenever I let out the clutch, and I couldn't move the shift lever. Finally got into my land last week and it now shifts fine. There must be a lot of water in the transmission that froze solid and was keeping it from moving. The good news is the truck started right up even though the battery had been in it all winter, and it shifts and drives fine. The bad news is I have no brakes. Last fall when it was frozen, I worked the tranny over for quite a while with a propane-powered weed burner, but I guess I didn't heat it long enough. Obviously it's due for having the gear oil drained and replaced.
