In Matt's post he stated that the base of the sparkplug was still in the cylinder head. I made the assumption that the porcelain fractured at the base of the plug and the center electrode pulled out with the upper half. This leaves an orifice of about .090” or .006” sq. thru the porcelain remaining in the plugs base. A common intake runner size for a 4” bore is 2.0” sq. or slightly larger. So unless the atmospheric pressure is extremely high in your neck of the woods fuel/air is going to be drawn into the cylinder. I realized that the efficiency of the intake stroke will be diminished due to atmospheric pressure & that’s why I wrote “still will draw in a fair amount of fuel/air”.
