A compression test is only a perimmter if all are even smooth running > one low cylinder a little lump at a idle you will hadly feel it BUT a compression test is with the THOTTLE WIDE OPEN makes a big difference in the test results >odds are the plug failed period i would get into a autopsy over it >but the fact remains some pieces have(may) enter the engine most times they(the pieces ) will melt into the top of the piston or blow out the exhaust worst case senerio is that the pieces are up against the cylinder wall scoring the wall but wouldnt affect your compression at such a early stage > if the pieces were holding or sticking up a valve the cccompression would be very low and if its a intake will miss bad if it stuck a exhaust valve you can hear it in the tail pipe > if i had time i would test all the cylinders then pull that head and have a look maybe touch up the valves and valve seals while i was at it ~ Copey
